Summary from ANN: Dorothy is on her way to school one day when she stumbles across a witch's mansion. The witch takes Dorothy as her apprentice, and the girl promptly casts a spell on the witch's nephew (she didn't think it would work). He turns into a werewolf, so now Dorothy must learn enough magic to take the curse off of him. She doesn't seem to have much talent for magic, though....

Despite the secretive nature of magic and the witches who practice it, Coco, a simple dressmaker's daughter, has always harbored a fascination with spellcasting. An unexpected opportunity presents itself when she spies on the skilled witch Qifrey, and discovers that the magic she had read about in her favorite picture book was, in fact, real. Eager to test out her newfound knowledge, Coco starts experimenting with spells, which quickly results in disastrous consequences for her home. Luckily, Qifrey is able to rescue her in the nick of time, and recognizes her potential as the first person he's encountered who could help track down the Brimmed Caps—a notorious group of heretics who use forbidden body-altering magic and distribute magical objects among the general public.
