In its final moments, "WITH: Friends from Another World," a virtual reality social-networking game, is concluding its service. Natsumi (a human) and Kanata (a zombie), who had formed a couple in-game, bid each other farewell.
During Hada Haruka's high school years, Kuroi Ritsu's "With You" manga was highly successful and widely known. Haruka idolized the manga's protagonist and rebranded herself into a stylish, sharp-witted woman modeled after the character. After persistent effort, Haruka lands a job as an editor for Kuroi Ritsu herself. Although she is excited to meet the person who impacted her life so significantly, the encounter with Ritsu falls short of her expectations.
