Chitose Morishige is a 12-year-old seventh-grader with no friend in the world. Her father, Professor Morishige, builds a robot companion for his daughter to ease her loneliness. The only problem is that Ichika Robata, the android, is built much too lifelike that Chitose believes she's a normal human girl who either ran away or was kidnapped by her father. Despite being an average student, Tsukune manages to secure a place in a high school, only to realize that its student body is far from ordinary. He becomes the center of attention for a beautiful female student who bestows him with romantic attention. But, her affinity for him proves to be more concerning than flattering, as she leaves a evident mark on his neck after biting him. To make matters worse, Tsukune questions his ability to keep up in a school torn apart by a longstanding rivalry between werewolves and vampires, rather than athletes and scholars.

With Moka's help, Tsukune conceals his identity from the other monsters, but he must also allow Moka to feed on him whenever she wants. As Tsukune navigates this dangerous situation, he wonders how it will affect him, and if Moka will be able to keep him safe.
